Electrifying AI Video Podcast
The electricity industry is undergoing major transformations and disruptions—from climate change to transportation electrification and beyond. It’s also one of the most asset-intensive industries, with the electric grid often described as the largest and most complex machine ever built. As big data begins to influence decision-making, those designing and operating the grid are faced with the challenge of distinguishing the real potential of AI from the hype.
That’s where Electrifying AI comes in. This podcast series provides a platform for listeners to stay informed on the latest trends and breakthroughs shaping the future of the electricity sector, offering expert insights on the intersection of AI and energy.
The process
The podcasting initiative was a new venture for SAS, with the goal of launching a series under the umbrella of Analytics Exchange, each focused on a different industry. Electrifying AI was the inaugural podcast in this series.
I worked closely with our product marketing team and pitched the idea of adding a video component to the podcasts, recognizing that, given the pandemic and the shift to remote work, audiences were craving more personal, face-to-face interactions. To navigate this, I produced the videos remotely, creating a detailed remote video production guide for guest speakers. This included sourcing video and audio equipment, remotely setting up their shots, and monitoring audio levels to ensure quality.
Once the video content was collected, I edited each speaker’s footage into a cohesive video podcast. I also collaborated with our social teams to publish the podcast’s audio on platforms like Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
Additionally, I designed the Electrifying AI thumbnail and logo for podcast platforms, applying the same visual treatment to the video podcast container to ensure consistency across all formats.
