Cisco Secure
Enablement Videos

Cisco Secure Enablement team’s mission is to enable customers to achieve their Security business outcomes with the best learning experience possible. This means meet customers where they are. And where they are searching for content is on YouTube.

I produced and managed the Secure Enablement team’s YouTube program. This included standing up the program’s charter, processes, and editorial calendar. I also produced the video content for YouTube, which included collaborating with subject matter experts and instructional designers to script and storyboard the videos, editing the videos and publishing.

  • Cisco Secure currently houses enablement content on their own content hub sites, including SecureX Academy and Secure Analytics Training Center. These sites are used by current users with login credentials. Common feedback is these sites are not easily discoverable or well known. Content types include text-based courses, videos, and screen captures. There is interactivity with knowledge checks and training paths. Our team is working towards creating a unified enablement platform that will house all Secure enablement in one place.

  • Repurpose existing and create new Cisco Secure content for the Cisco YouTube channel under the Security playlists category.

Drive accessibility, awareness, and consumption of enablement content.

Delight and retain users with interesting and helpful content without gatekeeping.

Reach non-users who are interested in security products or Cisco in general.

  • The standup up for our team’s YouTube program involved creating an editorial calendar. I parsed through and viewed our team’s existing videos, prioritized and scheduled their uploads through the next quarter. Uploads were in line with each product’s roadmap strategy.

We also had a product branding approach with the YouTube thumbnails. Each security product had a different graphic treatment.

I then set up our team’s process for video upload, which included stakeholders from multiple teams, including marketing and social media.

This is an example of an enablement video uploaded to our Secure Enablement playlist on YouTube.
