Axcient Brand Refresh: Modernizing a Legacy

When I joined Axcient in April 2024, the brand needed a modern update. The design system was outdated, overloaded with orange, lacking scalable templates, and with minimal social media presence. My goal was to refine the brand while maintaining its core identity.

Elevating the Brand Aesthetic

I redefined Axcient’s signature orange as an accent rather than a dominant element, creating a more polished and professional look. I also phased out the overused 3D robot mascot, shifting focus to:

  • Refined Design: Strong typography, dynamic layouts, and a modern color palette.

  • Tech-Driven Visuals: Sleek, data-inspired graphics that reinforced Axcient’s credibility in disaster recovery and cybersecurity.

This transition moved the brand from a playful, cartoonish feel to an enterprise-ready identity.

Scalable, Cohesive Design Systems

To ensure consistency and efficiency, I developed a suite of adaptable templates:

  • Social Media Assets: Engaging templates for blog promotions, whitepapers, and events.

  • Presentations & Collateral: Modernized decks, eBooks, and whitepapers that enhanced brand authority.

  • Video Branding: A fresh approach to YouTube thumbnails and new branded video content.

Through these efforts, Axcient’s brand became more dynamic, recognizable, and adaptable - laying the foundation for a stronger digital presence.
